Belgija turi tris oficialias kalbas – [[olandų kalba|olandų]], [[prancūzų kalba|prancūzų]] ir [[vokiečių kalba|vokiečių]]. Apytiksliais apskaičiavimais, 59 % gyventojų gimtoji kalba yra olandų (dažnai vadinama [[Flamandų tarmės|flamandų]]), 40 % – prancūzų. Olandiškai kalbantys žmonės susikoncentravę šiaurinėje Belgijos dalyje ([[Flandrija|Flandrijoje]]), o prancūziškai kalbantys – šalies pietuose ([[Valonija|Valonijoje]]).
