English: Small part of the Joggins Fossil Cliffs World Heritage Site on the Chignecto Bay of the Bay of Fundy, just north of Coal Mine Point, near Joggins, Nova Scotia. The rocks exposed in the cliff mainly comprise sandstones of the higher part of the Joggins Formation, Pennsylvanian of the Cumberland Basin. The tilted beds of the Joggins-Formation are discordantly overlain by a thick reddish layer of a Quaternary glacial deposit (till).
Deutsch: Kleiner Teil des Joggins Fossil Cliff (UNESCO-Weltnaturerbe) an der Chignecto Bay der Bay of Fundy, unmittelbar nördlich von Coal Mine Point, nahe Joggins, Nova Scotia. Die im Kliff aufgeschlossenen Gesteine umfassen vorwiegend Sandsteine des höheren Teils der Joggins-Formation, Oberkarbon des Cumberland-Beckens. Den verkippten Schichten der Joggins-Formation lagert winkeldiskordant eine mächtige Schicht rötlicher Gletscherablagerungen (Geschiebemergel) des Quartärs auf.
