:I guess we must end this nationalist debate. Adomas Mickevičius is descendant from old lithuanian nobles and he claimed himself to be lithuanian (he stated that numerous times even to [[:en:Wolfgang Goethe|W. Goethe]]), but he and his relatives spoke polish language (that's for sure). But that does not make him polish writer, rather it makes him lithuanian writer who wrote in polish language. This is like irish writers (like [[:en:Oscar Wilde|Oscar Wilde]]) wrote in english language, but that does not make him english writer. He's still irish.
