The transliteration that I used is just one of many transliterations. (specifically, it's BGN/PCGN, which seems to be predominant onin the English Wikipedia) The problem with transliterations (especially with the ones for Khmer) is that you have to take a lot of time to learn the pronunciation of each transliteration scheme individually, like a newly encountered variant of the Latin alphabet. It is much more expedient to simply indicate the pronunciation with IPA. Though, I admit, I added the transliteration for people with neither IPA- nor Khmer- support. You simply removed the IPA notation, which would not be helpful at all. I will readd the IPA for people who would be able to read it on their computers.
